FMG is a developer and provider of high quality municipal and road maintenance equipment for Nordic, Baltic and Russian areas.

Company was established in 1989 with name Lapinlahden Levypalvelu according the home village of the company´s founder Jarmo Hiltunen. Activities started in small hall built on the home yard for the parts service to the nearest forest machine provider Ponsse. First so called own product was lifting grab for the forest usage and by takeover of that company got also first trade mark Rote. Lately Rote lifting grab was copied to the many different sizes to the many different customers.

Next step was development of some road maintenance equipment for the agricultural tractors after having had a lot of requests from the local contractors and that was the beginning of the current operations. When the activities started to grow up in year 1994 company moved to Iisalmi to the industrial area of Parkatti getting much more space for the operations.

Co-operation with Finnish tractor maker Valmet started in year 1996 which grew up volumes of the ploughs remarkable. Lately activities grown up to the other products in road maintenance area and finally in year 2003 company moved to the current locations starting in a new factory.

The big international development and series of investments started in year 2010. Company got new owner basis, new name and brand name and marketing started on the new market areas. State of will of FMG is the keep focus in its main competence area with the good co-operation of customers and distributors. Also personnel focus is seen important for the FMG which will give growth potential in the future. FMG will pay much anttention in understanding of the customer needs and processes which gives the solid platform for the future success. At that time it is seen that interest to our company and products are growing.
